Ok, just checked the site, wasn't working for me earlier but it's fine now. Anyway, I'm still a little puzzled though, the images on site look ok and the one you've attached looks like it'll fit in well...

Thank you for the questions - the photos need to be very sharp and clear so people can make an informed decision to buy. The feedback I am getting is they don't look professional and some of them are hard to see like the bottom two on the home page. But if everyone thinks they look fine, maybe it's other people's monitors. I don't have the money to have them professionally taken so thought maybe just better photo editing would help.

I agree that the pictures fit pretty well and represent the articles well. If we were to punch up the levels or tones, you'd probably lose focus on some of your clear beads/jewels.

The Movin On photo is a bit blurry, but I'd leave the rest alone.

If you really want your visitors to make an informed decision, provide a larger version of the photos than what you are offering now.

BTW... I can get to the site now too.

I'm certainly no expert when it comes to these sorts of things so I'd hang around and see what the others say, but in my opinion there's not a lot wrong with the pics...

Anyway here are the 3 you mentioned sharpened up a little, dunno if that helps at all...

Hi all - thank you so much for the feedback and tries at the photos. I actually got a volunteer to take new photos so I think for now I will leave the ones I have alone on the website.

Yah, I was going to say... They could be cleaned up some, and the white balance corrected, etc. but even doing that, you'd fix the background, but you'd lose a lot of the detail in the jewelery itself, so you'd probably be better off re-taking them.

A softbox or something really would be best for this....
