We will be moving GFXContests.com to a new server this evening at 8:00 PM EDT. As we are also changing domain name servers and IP address some members may not be able to access the site on its new location until tomorrow (Monday) depending upon how quickly your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

Don't worry about the risk of posting to the old server location as we will be disabling the forums on the old server prior to the move so that people will not be able to post or access the forums in the wrong location. This means that if you are able to access the forums it is safe for you to post.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Sorry for the confusion!

We will move the forums to their new server this evening (Dec. 3rd EDT). The move itself will probably only take an hour or so, however, it may take considerably longer for our new IP address to propagate to the different domain name server of everyone's Internet service providers. Some members may not be able to access this site until Monday depending on how frequently their ISP refresh their DNS cache.

Well things did not go as smoothly as we would have liked, but the server move has been completed. We may have lost a few avatars (it took me two hours to recover those babies), but everything seems to have transfered okay.

I'm going to bed now (its only six hours past my bed time).

Syntax people... syntax. Is it really that hard for developers to properly wrap PHP if statements with French braces "{}"?

No wonder nobody wants to migrate to PHP5 and MySQL5. Their bloody code can't past muster with more stringent (e.g. cleaner) coding requirements. :mad:

There were some issues with some user accounts not getting transfered correctly. This problem has been resolved and all user accounts should now be working correctly.
