And again we would like to thank everyone for their efforts! This contest is coming to a close so we have narrowed down the list of submissions to our favorite three submissions:

MisterMan: As said before, we like your idea with the 'two horse halves' and the font works well. However, could you make some variations with another horse shape as to leave the horse more intact? We're no designers, but if you change the horse shape with it's head more downwards: www.bokt.nl . . . (bad scribble, but hopefully you can see what we mean) you can leave it's shape 'unbroken'. This also results in a more natural position for the horse.

HighEndProfile: Your 'O' is very strong. If we'd choose your design we'd like some small alterations to the horse, but that could be taken care off after the contest. We're afraid that at this point, the design as a whole would work well with our younger visitors, but not so much for the more professional / older visitors of the site. Could you make some variations with different fonts as to give the whole design a slightly cleaner, more 'business-like' feel?

DexTracer: We still like your first design, with the orange 'feet' under the 'K'. It's clean, recognizable. You made some variations with the horse figure, but we feel that it's never really integrated into the design. If you have any other ideas as to integrate it or perhaps place it outside the text as for example Baiskee did, we'd love to see it.
The one you posted on june 9th, we dislike the font, too compact. Your last one is strong, but it doesn't fit our site: too much an 'urban'/'racing' feel.


We'll add some feedback to the other designs with the comment feature.

The colors and placement of the horse figure work well. However, we feel that the 'shading/gradient' in the font, combined with the 'roundness' make it a little too playfull, not clean enough. The design does seem to beg for integrating the logo into the O which would result in a variation on HighEndProfile's design.

The other comments:

LJK: there's still too little contrast between the text and the horse in our opinion.
Maricas3: certainly not bad and it might appeal a lot to our younger visitors. However, we don't think it's recognizable enough for our site.
Phacker: Very original However, we feel it's a little too 'cool' for our site. The style would fit better for a lifestyle brand for college-aged kids, than for a site aimed at visitors of all ages.

Here is my try. I just did the design in black, but I can change the colors to what you prefer.

This contest has come to a close so it's time to award a winner.

First of all I would like to thank everyone for the great ideas and also for the responses based on our feedback. Dextracer definitely excelled in this department

In the end it has been a hard choice, both because we are very picky when it comes to choosing a new logo and because of the quality of several submissions. After weighting all pros and cons of the submitted designs we have decided to award highendprofile the prize in this contest. We feel that integrating the horse with the 'O' in 'Bokt' works really well. His designs need some small touchups to make them really work for us but I'm confident that we'll be able to work out these details.
