I know the contest has ended on June 9th, but I had a design that I worked on since last week, and forgot to submit it. I was wondering if I can still submit my entry. If it's not possible, it's ok. Thanks.

dextracer - yes, please submit the design. i still owe a lot of people feedback as I was out of town unexpectedly, and im going to have to extend the deadline anyway.

Here are my designs:

The spikes in the "o" represent the rays of the headlight.




The whole shape represents the main part of a motorcycle, with the two circles being the wheels. Adding a handle disrupts the whole unity of the design.

Sorry it's taken so long for feedback. I have had the moderator extend the deadline (which also took a week). I have been in China and internet access here can be very frustrating and sometimes restricted. I think I've found a workaround so I shouldn't have the problem again.

Also, let me clarify something - I was trying to communicate that the company has roots in motorcycle parts, but I don't think I made it clear that the company will not necessarily work in the motorcycle industry. Make the logo look like it's a consulting company, not a motorcycle company. If you're inspired by motorcycle parts or shapes, that's fine, but it's NOT a requirement.

yonekalay - handlebards should not be in the logo. I don't really love this font. The light is a good idea, but the logo doesn't have to be like a motorcycle. Please see comment above and comments on other designs.

cimbuak - the designs aren't bad, generically, but i don't really see how they convey anything that says anything about what a consulting company should be like, competence, innovate, effecient, knowledgable, etc... The designs are kind of cool, but I don't see how it relates to the business.

sketec (1st submission) - you're headed in a good direction, but the font looks a little pre-school to me. it's also not completely clear to me that the "O" is a headlight. if I didn't know it was supposed to be a light, i doubt id know. any other ideas?

spartan729 - these aren't bad, but look kind of like they are for a film company, like the light is trying to highlight someone on stage. any other ideas of ways to incorporate light, or focus?

highendprofile - this is very creative. you're headed in a good direction. i like the light coming out of the i. i also like the motorcycle rider, however, the company is not in the motorcycle field so this should be removed. can you expand on the use of the light or try any variations of it?

sketec (2nd submission) - this is a great idea. very creative. however, it's nearly impossible to deduce "one headlight" for me from this. i keep seeing "oheadlight." any other ideas on how to make this more clear? it's very creative.

maricas3 - one headlight is all we need? isn't that from the wallflowers song? if so, i dont want to copy that. please see the comments on the other designs. id love to see more ideas.

LJK - this is a very professional looking logo, but too generic for me. any ideas on how to make this more interesting or relating to the letters of the business? i like it, but i need a little more. looks too generic as is.

dextracer - these are probably my favorite so far. definitely creative. however, i dont thikn the letters "one" look like "one," especially the ONE and the E, even though i really like the E. The N doesn't stand out at all. Can you highlight the N in a different color? Also, can you think of anything interesting to do to HEADLIGHT so it looks more integrated into the design or part of the design? to me the sun in the O can represent "ideas." maybe you can make the E interesting, or perhaps a letter from HEADLIGHT.

Ok, thanks, that's the best feedback a designer can get when a client doesn't like a logo. Nobody loses time. I'll work on the previous one then.

thanks for the great feedback it always helps. I am working on some new ideas but just wanted to know if you saw my second submission with the lighthouse idea. did you like that? or could you give me some feedback on it.

Spartan - Sorry, I thought I responded to these too. I like the direction of the lighthouse, but not the others so much. With the lighthouse, can you figure out a way to incorporate the word "one" more, same with "consulting?" They both look a little lost. The 1st one isn't bad, but the grey background makes it very dull. Can you try a more vibrant color? Thanks

starting to look a little too futuristic. I'd also still really like to see the "N" separated with color, like i mentioned in my 1st reply. let me know if that wasn't clear. thanks.

here are the revisions.

this is very very good. im so used to it, that i see "oneheadlight." do you htink it's possible that anyone could see "neheadlight" and not the "o"? this is a good execution of a very good idea. can you put "consulting" (small) under it? did you have anything else you were playing with? i'd say 8 out of 10. i was hoping for somethign a little more creative, but this might do it. if you have any ideas about the light lighting up the T or something, that could be cool. i know but feedback isn't as clear or directional as you'd like. this is very close and im not sure what to ask you to do.

Thanks for your comment. It was very helpful to me to think some creative ideas. I slightly pulldown the bulb to read it as "O". With the help of its striking red color, the word "ONE" clearly read. I remove the parallel red and replace it a shinning ray of lights which is coming from the upper part of the "I" then spreading to other parts of the letters. I choose the color red because it symbolizes as power, energy, strength, dynamism. Black as trustworthiness, security, high quality, leadership and white as clarity and sophistication.
