We at Chug are positioning ourselves to become one of the top functional beverage companies on the east coast. We will soon be offering a full spectrum line up of products that cater to those who work hard but party harder! This logo must embody the youthful attitude of generation next. Through various techniques we were successful at test marketing and therefore securing regional distribution of our product. Our initial logo concept was used during these test marketing phases, and garnered good test results. Now our initial logo concept is finished we need that spice that will take us to the next level, closer to our goal at capturing the eyes and minds of generation next. Our new logo concept must directly contain elements of that V.I.P party lifestyle but relate to the youthful minds of high school and college students. This must be both urban and suburban; interracial with no boundaries,
showing that we are unbiased and have no fear testing new boundaries. We are looking for edgy, trendy, modern, explosive, fun and exciting. We want to hit this market with something that they have never seen. We want an icon that shows our generation we will be the one that will make a difference.
Recap:
This logo will be the identity of our company. This logo must transform to all mediums from business cards to beverage cans to billboards. Something that if placed in the publics eye it will raise awareness that we are here and ready to takeover! Feel free to expirement with colors for we are not set yet on a color combination. The winning designer will also have the opportunity if they choose to design our beverage can, our stationary and our promo items. Our original logo concept resembled a cave drawing with a modern twist to it. The head was a letter C wearing a crown and it looked like the drawing was almost dancing. Feel free to use this idea or come up with a completely original concept.
Our final format must be in Adobe photoshop or Adobe Illustrator but the winning designer could use any program they choose to design it. Also for the winning design we would like all color codes for our records as well design elements and fonts.

As for font I really like that font I even like the color as well. But I would like the logo to be an icon as well as text. My original logo was a cave painting with the head a letter C wearing a crown and the it almost appeared as the painting was dancing. AS much as I liked it I didn't feel it would captivate our target audience even though it served us well for our testing. I am looking for a classy Icon as well youthful and energetic. I will get with my partner to see if we can come up with Ideas for this. Any questions feel free to ask.
Also our original logo was black, blue and yellow for anyone interested. |

my partner and i agree that the the top design we dont understand and the bottom one to us looks to much like a letter "G" ...I was thinking the top design is a gas pump perhaps..symbolizing energy like you said. We are looking for a logo that is young, hip and fresh...My partner actually came up with the Idea of a fancy looking Exclamation point where the dot is a fancy looking letter C...maybe u could try to work something out of that... |

i apologize to all participants but i am waiting for my partner to review the designs then i will be able to post feedback to you guys...
the following opinions are mine and when my partner arrives he will chime in as well..
dextracer i like the star design but could you try it in blue and black then pink and black...reason being our research has shown us that green and black is the most heavily used color combo for an energy drink...
and CnSGD I think your idea would benefit if you blended the 2 concepts like the font and exclamation point from the second concept with the big letter "C" for the first one...
Remember we are trying to capture that party feel with our logo as well.... |

Ok Wow were do I start... GREAT DESIGNS I AM LOOKING AT HERE....let me first apologize on my partners behalf for he has been busy lately and has been unable to review these...he has seen them though and has commented to me about them...
lets start with CnSGD....
I really like your designs and the chosen fonts but i dont understand the way you made the exclamation point look...to me it sort of looks like a chimney...i especially like how you provided me with all the different colors and how you put the "energy drink part in the letter C...I just feel the exclamation point needs a change...good work though...

I like the color scheme but i dont understand the whats going with the letter "G" and also i feel the font you have chosen is not edgey enough...
Umm whos next oh yeah ECD...
WOW I am really like the layout and i like the overall look but the icon part of the logo appears to be too much like a letter "E"...other then that this is a real strong design you got here....

I really like the revision you made...and the new design although it is edgey and new its not really easily readable....a person who doesn't know what my products is might have trouble trying to figure that out...maybe a little more emphasis on distiguishing the letters...other then that i like the colors....
Finally Phacker....
WOW you really opened my eyes to a whole new possiblilty with this design...and possibly a whole new target market...the "CHUG" (dog) is very cute and could be appealing to a wider market...also with a logo like this there is a possiblity of having a mascot for our comapny....Could I see this desing in other colors perhaps and also black and white (for the monochrome test to see if it will transfer well to other colorless mediums maybe newspapers perhaps) also could i see what it would look like with other fonts..real strong design overall and its got edge as well as the cute thing going on....good job..
man this is going to be tough to judge a winner at the end of this i might have to bring in a 3rd party just in case me and my partner are at a deadlock.....GREAT WORK SO FAR GUYS... |

OMG I love it, my partner loves it....I think that'll definatley work for us..only thing is my partner would like to see the opposite of the "C" which is the "E" but with (the way my partner put it ) a bigger vortex....Do understand that???IDK if i am explaining it correctly but with a bigger swirl is what i am trying to say...also instead of the green my partner (if its possible) would like to see it in a dark pink color.....THANK YOU... |

Revision and color options.
Slightly enhanced vortex so that it kept the look of "c+e" just twisted a bit more on focus mark. Mostly because that kept the overall look of symbolized of letters while still giving it a abstract look.

first let me apologize about not replying sooner but me and my partner hit a snag in the trademarking department...originally our lawyer told us there wouldn't be a problem so we went full steam ahead now 3 days ago he said there was a problem and he is trying to fix it..
now for the feedback ECD that is great right there i dont think any changes are neccessary at this point...
me and my partner (being that the decision would be difficult) have asked some other people to help us choose a design...so we might have to extend this contest until the 30th of JUNE |
